ABOUT US
The 2340 Big Band is based in Tamworth, NSW and was formed in 2014 by an enthusiastic group of talented local musicians.
Consisting of alto, tenor and baritone saxophones, four trombones, four trumpets and a 4 piece rhythm section, the band performs regularly in Tamworth and surrounding districts.
Kate Armstrong and Brad Gill are the band's resident vocalists. Other local singers including Sally-Anne Whitten, Toni Swain, Gabriela McDonald, Max Ellicott and Peter Ross have also been guest performers.
The band has a wide repertoire of different musical styles including Big Band standards, Latin, Classic Rock and other popular tunes.
We have supported many local events by providing entertainment, including the Wean Picnic Races, the Blue Angel Foundation, St John's Church Fete and the Calrossy Cracker night.
The 2340 Big Band has enjoyed strong success at the Tamworth Eisteddfod and presents concerts as a part of the Capitol Theatre's subscription season.
